Different Roles within the Sacred Liturgy–
Eucharistic Adoration: Spend time in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament on Fridays from 8:30 am to 5pm. Sign up for a regular time slot that works for you.
Liturgy and Word: Prepares the church for all liturgical celebrations. Coordinator: Suzanne Weber 503-842-5612.
Altar Servers: Assist the presider during the celebration of the liturgy on Sunday and holy days. Open to children in the fourth to 12th grades. Religious Education – Nicholas Williams and Pat Kehr.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharistic (EM’s): Assist with distribution of Holy Communion at Mass. Open to confirmed members of our community. Coordinator Pat Kehr 503-842-2249.
Communion for the Sick and Homebound: Assist with bringing Holy Communion to the parish’s homebound, ill or hospitalized parishioners weekly and on an as-needed basis.
Lectors: Proclaim the Word of God during the liturgy. Open to all confirmed members of our community. Training provided. Coordinator: Suzanne Weber.
English and Spanish Choirs: Serve the Lord, his Church and his people by leading the congregation in worship and song.
Liturgy of the Word for Children: Experience God’s Word geared towards kids in kindergarten through fourth grade, through simplified Bible stories, psalms, and music! Kids are dismissed directly from Mass before the readings and return after the Prayer of the Faithful! This is only during the 9:30 am mass.
Ushers: Assist the assembly during the liturgy with greeting, seating, collection and answering questions. Coordinator: Bob Willhite.
